Diverse Professional Team Professional Development: Using Hip-Hop as a Tool for Today’s Youth
  • Case studies and role playing helps instructors teach youth grades 6-12.
  • Use of spoken word helps improve vocabulary, spelling and public speaking.
  • Interactive discussions require youth to utilize critical thinking skills to analyze clear and hidden messages in Hip Hop music.
   
Student Conference Student Conferences
The Young Men and Young Women Employment Network (YMEN and YWEN) Student Conferences focus on two major themes: Career Development and Critical Thinking. Conferences are conducted at Rutgers University and provide services for an average of 1,800 young people (ages 14-18).
   
Workshop for Hight School Students Workshops for High School Students
Youth Empowerment workshops provide a series of role play exercises that address real-life challenges that young people are faced with on a daily basis.
   
Workshops for college students Workshops for College Students
The definition of leadership is defined, and students are provided information that allows them to customize the meaning to their specific needs and desires. Students will be able to identify their specific leadership style and are taught to work effectively with others.
   
Workshops for parents Workshops for Parents
Parents will be taught how to identify and help their children master their unique skills and abilities. A series of daily exercises will be provided to help increase communication with teenagers.
